Who's Actually In The Driver's Seat Of Your Life
Have you spent most of your 20's working really hard to do everything you think you are supposed to be doing...and yet you somehow still have a life you can't wait to take a vacation from?
Does something about that equation sound wrong to you? Perhaps the work super hard, but get little reward for it part?
I mean call me crazy, but I think we deserve to and can live a life we don't need a vacation from.
But if you are working so hard, like everyone said to do, then why isn't that life happening right?
Well perhaps it's because you are living someone else's version of your life.
Someone else's idea of what life is supposed to be.
To often we just go through the motions. Get good grades, go to college, get the degree, take the internship, land the first job, stay loyal hoping that job will one day promote us so we can work harder for little in return.
But have you ever stopped to pause and wonder who put those motions into action?
Was it really you?
Or was it your family, your friends, society, your fears and stories you didn't even realize you had?
More than likely it was mostly those last things and not so much you.
So if you find yourself working really hard at this thing called life and yet waking up each day asking yourself if this really is as good as it is going to get, then it might be time to reassess your plan and design a new blueprint for life with your values, your interests, and what matters most to you in mind.
You get to be the driver in your plan for life, but make sure your end destination is somewhere you actually want to be going!
